On 4th July 2011 on a gloriously hot afternoon , I held a very special party . My house and garden were festooned with balloons and the champaign flowed, as friends and family joined me to celebrate the launch of my company – DESIGNATE – Housing Adaptations Interior Design & Colour Consultancy.
I cannot believe that was 14 years ago, but I can honestly say that, despite the ups and downs of being self employed they have been some of the happiest years of my life. As an independent practitioner and solopreneur, and with help from so many wonderful people in the business community, I have been able to design and provide a unique service that enables people of all ages living with health conditions to have and enjoy spaces that are non-clinical, safe, with beautiful décor. Homes that will evolve to encompass changing needs and that are Functional and Fabulous!
